The blade is tough AUS 4 high carbon stainless steel. The Carson Flipper is not only an aid to opening the blade, especially when wearing gloves, but acts as a blade guard when the blade is open. Other features include CRKT's patented AutoLAWKS automatic knife safety which converts the M16 Zytel into a virtual fixed blade knife when the blade is open and locked.
